ABOUT ME

Tyler DeLargie is a 19-year-old Canadian country singer/songwriter from St. Thomas, Ontario.

Music has always been a big part of Tyler's life. He grew up surrounded by it within his family, and he obviously inherited the musical gene. On his Mom's side of the family, his Nanny sings and plays piano while his Grampy's love of country music had a major influence on Tyler's musical style. His Grandpa on his Dad's side sang and played guitar, and he encouraged Tyler to learn the instrument and write his own music. When Tyler was 9 years old, he received his first guitar from his grandparents. With a little help from his Grandpa, Tyler taught himself acoustic guitar through videos. When Tyler turned 10 his parents arranged guitar lessons for him at the Studio Arts Music Academy in St. Thomas where he and his young friends formed a band for a couple of years. At 17, Tyler started writing original music in addition to covering many country classics. He continued to elevate his guitar skills and released his first album in 2020 titled, Small Town.

But his talents don't end there! Tyler has always been comfortable stepping up to the mic. In school he loved public speaking. And he can command an audience, with or without a 6-string in hand. High school Student Council President, check! High school announcer, check! Wedding MC, check! It's no surprise then, that Tyler is currently enrolled in Radio Broadcasting at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. He's got a voice for the airwaves, and his natural singing ability is evident when he belts out a tune. His sound is comparable to Chris Stapleton, who happens to be one of Tyler's musical influences along with Luke Combs and Luke Bryan.

You could say Tyler's first big break came from a co-worker at his part-time job who also happened to be the event organizer for the local pub. Realizing his knack as a solo performer, he booked Tyler to play his first live performance at the Upper Deck Sports Bar in St. Thomas where Tyler quickly gained a loyal following. He's been welcomed back there a few more times and has also played a few gigs at the St. Thomas Horton Farmers Market.

Tyler's most recent accomplishment to date is winning one of three coveted spots as voted by country music fans to perform at MDM: Plugged In as an opening act during Country Music Week at London Music Hall on November 28, 2021.

Tyler said his dream is to be on stage performing his original songs in front of large crowds. This unpretentious musician had no idea he would achieve so much at his young age. Looks like Tyler is making his dream come true. But stay tuned there are more dreams where that one came from!
